| There are several questions you need to consider before
jumping in and buying a home.
- Are you currently in steady employment ?
- Have you been regularly employed over the last 2-3 years ?
- Do you regard your income/employment as reliable ?
- Is your credit standing in good order ?
- Are your long term loan commitments low ?
- Can you afford to pay a mortgage every month along with the other
outgoings of running a family home ?
If you answered yes to all of those questions it is likely that you are
in a position to consider purchasing a new home.
So What Now ?
Think about the following things, if you've got this far you are ready
to find and purchase your dream home.
- Determine how much you think you can afford, you'll also find more
details in Setting your Budget
- Decide where you think you would like to live, I can also point you
to the right areas if you are not sure, but list the facilities that
are important to you.
- Decide on the approximate size of home that you require
- Discuss with your family what you would like in the home, number of
bedrooms, garage, flooring etc.
- Take a drive around the neighbourhoods and get a feel for the areas
- Discuss with friends and family what they know about these neighbourhoods.
